Built through quiet accumulation, layer over layer, gesture over gesture, forming surfaces that feel both tender and impenetrable. Each painting begins with an instinctive process of layering, covering, and revealing. I’m drawn to the mystery that emerges from this tension, what remains visible, what’s hidden, and how the viewer fills in what’s left unsaid.

There’s a constant duality in these works: control versus release, clarity versus obscurity, weight versus softness. Dense, moody elements are often held within pale, watery fields, giving the works a fragile but intense emotional presence. The final gestures, especially the fluid black or ghostlike diluted splatters, often move unpredictably, carving their own path across the surface. That unpredictability is something I connect with deeply.

Rather than offering answers, these works are invitations, into feeling, into remembering, into not knowing.

They hold space for the emotional and the ambiguous, where silence becomes a language of its own, and the viewer becomes part of the story.
